By using the repair services provided by Phones Arena, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms comply with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and Fair Trading Regulations to ensure your consumer rights are protected.
1. Repair Services & Responsibility
1.1 Phones Arena will only be responsible for the specific repair services requested by the customer. A full device diagnostic will not be performed unless explicitly requested.
1.2 While we take every precaution to ensure a successful repair, some devices may have pre-existing issues that become apparent after the repair. We are not responsible for such pre-existing faults.
2. Data & Privacy
2.1 We understand the importance of your data and will take reasonable precautions to prevent data loss. However, Phones Arena is not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or changes to settings that may occur during the repair process.
2.2 It is the customer's responsibility to back up all personal data before bringing the device in for repair.
3. Repair Warranty
3.1 Standard Warranty
Phones Arena provides a 3-month warranty on non-liquid damage repairs from the date of repair completion.
This warranty covers only the repaired or replaced parts and does not extend to other components of the device.
3.2 Warranty Exclusions
The warranty is void if:
The device and/or replaced parts suffer physical damage, liquid damage, or mishandling after repair.
The device has been tampered with by a third party after the repair.
Issues arise related to software, viruses, or firmware updates after the repair.
The repair involved liquid damage, as internal corrosion can develop over time, making it ineligible for warranty coverage.
3.3 Australian Consumer Law Compliance
Our repair warranty does not replace your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If a repair does not meet consumer guarantees (e.g., it is not performed with due care and skill or does not last a reasonable time), you may have rights to a free remedy under ACL.
4. Repair Quality & Limitations
4.1 We use premium-quality parts for all repairs. However, unless explicitly stated, we do not guarantee that the parts meet 100% original manufacturer specifications.
4.2 Some devices may exhibit cosmetic imperfections after repair due to prior damage or the nature of disassembly and reassembly.
4.3 In rare cases, due to the complexity of certain repairs, your device may require further servicing or may be deemed irreparable.
5. Device Unlocking & Call Barring
5.1 If you request device unlocking services, we are not responsible if the device has a network call barring applied by a provider. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the device is not blacklisted before unlocking.
5.2 Unlocking a device does not remove call barring imposed by carriers due to outstanding payments or theft reports.
6. Shipping & Liability
6.1 If shipping your device to Phones Arena, it is your responsibility to pack it securely to prevent damage in transit.
6.2 Phones Arena is not liable for lost or damaged items during courier transit.
6.3 We offer free return shipping for completed repairs. However, if a repair is canceled, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
7. Unclaimed Devices & Abandonment
7.1 If a customer fails to collect a repaired device or pay outstanding charges within 90 days of notification, the device will be considered abandoned.
7.2 Phones Arena reserves the right to dispose of or sell abandoned devices to recover costs, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Regulations.
8. Liability & Limitations
8.1 Phones Arena is not responsible for:
Consequential damages, including business loss or personal inconvenience, resulting from a device failure.
Any latent defects that become evident after the repair.
Any liability beyond the repair cost paid by the customer.
9. Dispute Resolution
If you believe your repair was not completed as expected, please contact Phones Arena directly, and we will attempt to resolve the issue in compliance with Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty Policy Summary
3-month warranty for non-liquid damage repairs.
No warranty for liquid damage repairs due to potential internal corrosion.
Warranty voided if the device is physically damaged, water-damaged, or tampered with by a third party.
Phones Arena complies with Australian Consumer Law, and customers may be eligible for a remedy if repairs do not meet reasonable quality standards.
